A centralised database for all European species, including their ecological and behavioural traits, will facilitate a generation of large-scale scientific studies, and will contribute to making parallel studies on biodiversity and responses of wild bee communities to environmental change in Europe.
The milestones of our project are the factsheets for each European species. They will include descriptions, illustrations of morphological characters, macro-photographs made in situ, reference to DNA barcodes, and relevant information on their life-histories, host-plant associations, and habitats.
The factsheets will be produced during the three years of the project and available online starting from May 2022.
